Fashion Event: Band Tee Boutique with BooHoo

To celebrate the summer and their festival range, BooHoo kindly invited me and a few bloggers along for an evening of pizza, drinks and band tee decorating. Here's a little look at the evening...

Hosted at their showroom in Carnaby Street, I headed over after work to check out BooHoo's new festival range and customise some band tees. I had never been to the showroom before but it was filled with pretty things and so many amazing items that I can't wait to get for my holiday this August. Complete with glitter, studs and tassels, we all picked our tshirts and sat down to enjoy an evening of pizza courtesy of Pizza Pilgrims (it's amazing if you haven't tried it already) and a variety of soft drinks from Fentimans.

Another added treat was getting to catch up with fellow blogger babe Emma Inks, as well as my old uni friend, Leigh - two of my favourite bloggers. So having gotten glue everywhere, filled my belly with pizza and had a good old natter with the girls - what did I learn from the evening? Well, I learnt that I'm not the best at customising clothing so I think I'll leave it to BooHoo to design the clothes. I decided to keep my designs simple; cutting out the neck to create a choker and then adding tassels to the sleeves.

On a slightly more personal note, I always get very anxious when it comes to going to fashion and beauty related blogger events. I regularly feel like I don't fit in or belong there alongside other bloggers but this turned out to be a really relaxed and fun event with good food and great company. Huge thanks to BooHoo for a super fun event. It was really great to do something a bit different and within such a chilled out environment too. If you want to check out any of the items featured in this post, you can see Boohoo's Festival Shop here. I was also very kindly gifted with a few pieces from the collection so I'm excited to share those with you guys very shortly.

Well, that's it for another fashion event. What are some of your favourite key pieces for Summer? Do you have any favourites from the BooHoo festival shop? As always, I love reading your comments so please do leave me lots of lovely ones down below.

Until next time,

Outfit of the Day: Stayin' In or Slayin' on NYE

Boohoo Outfit of the day post
Where has the year gone, already? No matter what you're feelings are on 2016, the chances are you'll be either celebrating it's departure or it's successes this New Year's Eve. Whether you're stayin' in or slayin' (or both) - I thought I'd share my NYE outfit in collaboration with Boohoo.

ASOS orange faux fur coat
I'm usually up for going out on New Years. I'm quite sentimental when it comes to reigning in a new year and, if it meant a night with my best friends, why not? Due to our scheduling and relocating, we haven't managed to meet up this time and Jack and I are contemplating the ultimate night-in and leaving it to the last minute to plan anything instead. I'm not sure whether it's just because we're getting 'old' but sometimes I really do look forward to enjoying a fine meal and cuddling up in front of a good movie in our cozy flat. Luckily, whether I decide to stay in or go out, Boohoo have got me covered with a snazzy Party Dress AND some comfy loungewear.

I opted for something that can be dressed up or down (whilst also containing my boobs). I opted for the Becca Velvet Shirt Dress which seemed to be fit the bill very nicely. Not only is it black to match the rest of my wardrobe, but at this time of year I can't pass up anything in velvet. I really love the cut out style of this dress and, being a baggier fit, it makes for a super comfortable yet flattering going-out dress which can also be worn with thicker tights and flats for a dressed up every day look. For my night in, however...

Who says I only wear black? I was immediately attracted to these jersey pyjamas in ombre rainbow print. You may not be able to tell from the photos but they're actually t-shirt material which means they're both breathable but also snug, a bit like a jumpsuit. I'm a bit of an odd, hour-glass shape so I can be fussy with pyjamas sometimes but these are baggy in all the right places - and fitted where I need them to be also. If you're planning on a festive night-in, I'd definitely recommend grabbing a pair of these babies, getting some good grub, enjoying some new Blu-rays and bringing in the New Year in style.

I know it's been a tough year for some but when I look back, this year was totally great for me on a personal level. Tonight, no matter what plans I decide, I'll be celebrating. When I look back at my goals from last year, I'm actually pretty proud of myself for achieving pretty much all of them. I got another job promotion, I got a beautiful flat with my boyfriend and we started putting away for some up and coming world travels. I've met some incredible people and lost no real friends - how can I complain? So what are your plans for this New Year's? Did you manage to tick off your goals for the year? Whether you're staying in or going out, I'd love to know and, as always, I love reading your comments so please do leave me lots of lovely ones down below.

Until 2017, Happy New Year everyone -

Fashion Event: BooHoo Christmas #PartyAfterParty

Last week, I was fortunate enough to attend the BooHoo Christmas party at W London. The night was fun-filled with photo-booths, dance machines, glitter stations and I even got to finally meet some of my favourite blogger babes. Here's a little look at the evening...

Since my blog has shifted more to a movie focus in recent months, I haven't been agreeing to many fashion type posts but I was really excited when utter babe Erica told me about the BooHoo #PartyAfterParty event. I've shopped with BooHoo for years and so it was amazing to be apart of their Christmas celebrations. Probably my favourite part of the evening was finally getting to meet two of my favourite bloggers, Erica and Emma and catching up with old friends. After a few amazing canopies, a glass of glittery champagne and many attempts at the various photo-booths, it was time to head home.

Thanks so much to BooHoo for having me at the event and for the amazing goodie bag of treats. I'm excited to try some of those products out and looking forward to focussing on more fashion posts in the New Year. Are you attending any fun Christmas events over the holiday season? Who are your favourite fashion brands? As always I love reading your comments so please do leave me lots of lovely ones down below.

Until next time,
